Standup paddling is an ideal sport for groups: It is fun, active, and inclusive. Any member of your team can show up, learn to paddle and have fun!
Nashville Paddle Co. has organized group paddling lessons, excursions and paddleboard rentals for corporate groups (including Mars Petcare), small businesses (including Center 615), the Wounded Warrior Project, military reunions, bachelor and bachelorette parties, church groups, high schools and colleges and more. Belmont, Vanderbilt and Lipscomb universities and others have been back year-after-year for on-the-water fun.
Locals learn more about the waterways in their own backyard and visitors get to see a new side to Music City. Our offerings include:
• Intro to SUP
• SUP yoga
• Guided group paddles and tours
• Mileage builders/race training
• SUP Fitness
We provide all the gear—boards, paddles, PFDs, even Croakies for your sunglasses. Total time away from work (including drive) is 2.5-to-3 hours, but you’ll feel like you had a mini Music City vacation. (We even have waterproof ukuleles to borrow if that’s your thing.) Need an activity for spouses who are in town while their other half is stuck inside the Music City Center? We’ve got that covered.
After you’ve paddled and are ready to get wet, we have some great teambuilding ideas, there, too. Here’s a look at “Running of the Boards” with a fun group of Belmont Students.
Rates: Most classes are 90 minutes and cost $30-$45/person with advance booking. A full rate schedule is listed here. Group discounts may be available for advance bookings.
Transportation: To get to Hamilton Creek Recreation Area on Percy Priest Lake, we recommend driving or using Lyft. Use the code “nashvillepaddle” for a $15 ride credit with Lyft. Not a ride-sharing fan? Ask your hotel concierge for taxi cab options, or talk to us about private shuttles.
