Pro Clinic with Elite YOLO Board Racer Westy
YOLO elite rider Westy is coming back to town!
Michael Westenberger (but everyone calls him Westy) is one of the owners of Chicago Paddle Co. and an experienced waterman, with lots of races under his PFD belt.
Westy will be at Nashville Paddle Co. on Sunday, July 30, 10 a.m…that’s the day after the Music City SUP and Kayak Race. So, you can race against him on Saturday, watch him smoke it, and then on Sunday, come to his clinic and he’ll teach you his tricks for other races for the rest of the season. Or, just use his feedback to improve your technique and time for your excursions and longer paddles.
This is a two-hour Paddle Stroke Technique Clinic with lots of time on the water. You’ll learn:
- Major aspects of the SUP stroke
- Creating efficiency during the stroke
- Increasing performance while avoiding injury
- Race starts (beach and water)
- Race training
- Buoy turns
- Drafting
- Race strategy (long vs. short course)
